Ok, here it comes!

All things shipped USPS and charged the actual shipping.

First up is a beautiful set of Bocote that I recently sawed up from a large board. It includes:

backs pcs. 9x37.5x.12 sanded
sides pcs. 5x37.5x.115 sanded
extra piece 3.75x37.5x.3

You could make the whole thing (bindings, FB, headstock etc...) from these pieces. My OM ish mold is in the pics. I am happy to take other shots, please just ask
Looking for SOLD for $100

Attachment:
olf-bocote-whole.jpg

Attachment:
olf-bocote-close.jpg

Next is a goofy flitch of cocobolo. It was recently cut and has that purple color, the board was a deep burn orange/brick before I cut it. It will return to that color very soon-

All pieces are 6x38.5x.12 sanded
What to do with them? Maybe a parlor guitar? Sides for a similarly goofy back? head plates? add wings for a OO?
I am looking for SOLD FOR $100 for all 4 pcs.

Next up is a perfect (but narrow) set of maccassar ebony. I recently cut this set and it is perfectly QS, the back plate will show silking. My plans for it (I kept some sets) is to add wings and make OM's, it should be easy to add perfectly invisible wings from the tons of extra wood on the long back plates. Absolutely top grade wood.

Back pcs. 6x42.5x.14
sides 4 1/8x42.5x.14

Looking for SOLD for $175

Also for sale a sweet flitch set of Guatemalen rosewood (Dalbergia Tucarensis). It is wonderful stuff, much lighter than most rosewoods and still glassy. This set was cut from an upper stump section. I built a guitar with the sister set that sounded great and has been totally stable, I included a pic below-

Each pc is 6.5-10x38x.14
some pinholes, maybe possible to work around totally but in the best color area. They filled easily and mostly invisibly on my guitar.

I am looking for SOLD for $200

Next up some sweet bindings:

first, curly koa. These are curly and QS, they will show silking under the curl (and should bend very easily).
29 available, specify which section you want them from.

all pcs. .27x.09x36
$4 per pc. $100 for all 29 ALL SOLD

Attachment:

Attachment:
olf-koa-binding-close.jpg

Also some very nice Maccassar ebony binding. These are QS as well and have good color and some color modulation (i.e, not just black but some cream as well)
19 available, I can cut more if necessary

all pcs. .3x.09x40
$3 per pc. $50 for all 19 (I'll cut you #20 if you buy them all!)ALL SOLD, inquire for more if interested

Next is some Osage

This is a parlor set at least. The back set is 6.5 wide at the bottom but I will include the sister set so adding perfectly matching wings would be easy and make it quickly into a Dread sized set. All plates are QS and will show silking (see close up) Excpet for the size, a perfect set.

backs 6-6.5x30x.13 (2 full matching back sets included, the best one shown)
sides 6x36x.14

I am looking for SOLD FOR $50

Attachment:
olf-osage-parlor-set.jpg

Attachment:

Also some Osage side sets. These are also QS but may have tiny pin knots.
Sizes and photos below.

Set A 6x36x.14
Set B 4.5x36x.14
Set C 4.5x36x.14

Looking for $20 each set
Set A, B, and C are SOLD

I'll take the parlor set of Osage Orange that is $50. If there are any more ebony binding, I'll take a couple sets at $3 per piece.

Also, any more sets of indian rosewood that look like that for $40 I'd love to take, even one.

Best regards,

Jonas Baker

Thanks everybody!

Ken, set A is yours, I'll pm with details

Steve, you've got it. I'll cut you that 20th strip and pack it up. I got your pm, thanks.

Jonas
, The Osage is yours, I think you will be very happy with it. How many pcs of ebony binding do you want? And, sorry, no more EIR. I'll pm you with details.

Matthew
, I assume you want the Maccassar set, yes? It is amazing, I'm glad someone snapped it up. ALl of the koa is yours too. I have another little bundle that is even darker and deeper flame but also a little squirrely. I'll snap a photo and the price will be cheap. If you want those too you can have them. I'll post the photo here and pm you when it is up. Shipping to the UK is no problem.

Filippo, Maybe I should just make a Burton to Filippo swap meet cocobolo section? You always snag my spiderweb stuff. I'll pm you too-

More odds and ends coming later this afternoon, stay tuned!

Jonas, I assume 2 sets means 8 strips? Just to be sure-

Mat, I'll get those pics for you, I'm headed to the shop now.

Meddler, the Bocote is yours! It is a sweet set, lots of possibilities.

I'll pm everyone later tonight with details, I'm still working on a few more things.

I'm surprised no one has snapped up the Tucarensis, I thought that would go first!

That's because only you and I are familiar with this particular batch of wood Burton. Mine is awesome too! If I had the cash I'd buy them, but I have to keep raiding the Somerville SG workshop for wood apparently... did you see the big thick coco planks? Drool-worthy. I didn't take them because I thought you would love them.

Don, I've got my eye on some other stuff in that particular basement.... I've got more than enough cocobolo, as you know!
Besides, he's got to fit the lathe in there, right? The woods got to go!

There is a basement in Malden I would sure like to raid though......

Ok, round 2! Some more odds and ends (hopefully) for good prices-

First up are 2 EIR boards purchased for projects that did not come around.

Board #1
4.5x34x.84 Quartersawn and nicely colored. Wonderful crisp density too, a nice board.
I would like SOLD for $37.50

Attachment:

Next a less colorful but even more perfectly QS board (shows silking over much of the face)
Ideal neck billet I think
5.75x36x.975 shellaced on the surface, originally from Gilmer
I would like SOLD for $37.50

Here are some Cocobolo binding blanks, all cut so the strips will be quartered on their face. Nice deep orange color with some darker areas.

All pcs. 36" long
(4) 1x.25
(1) 7/8x7/8
(1) 3/4x7/8

If you take the blanks then SOLD for $20 for all of them
If you want me to cut the strips off then $2 per.

Big curly Katalox board. Has very nice curl and is very dark. A strange combination. I bought it for a project and ended up using some as the rosette and headplate on a guitar (I included a photo) and it was quite nice. have all this left over though and I hope someone is more excited about it then me. A Disclaimer- I did cut binding strips from this board hoping to use them and they proved difficult to bend without snapping. Not impossible for sure, but I broke more than I am used to.

board is:
3.5x1 3/8x35 1/2
I would like $35

Here are some retro Martin style pin sets I made up. They have a 2mm hole drilled waiting for your pearl of choice. I can drill this out to any larger size you want for no extra charge.

They are 5 degree taper and .215 under the head. Made by me from camel bone.
2 sets, SOLD for $40 each

Attachment:

1 scab cut of brain quilted sapele (the good stuff). perfect for rosettes, headplates, Rorschach tests, etc....
measures 9x23x.09 but it has some chipouts on the face, not crazy ones but there none the less. The other side is rough sawn but otherwise clean.

I would like SOLD for $40

Mat, here is the small bundle of extra Koa bindings. Like I said, these are very curly and dark but not as perfectly cut so runout is more of an issue than on the others. I am confident you could get one guitars worth from these pcs-

7 pcs, .25x.09 If you want them then they are yours for $20.

Hey Burton, I'll take the camel bone pin sets . I think I'll get them shipped separately so that customs doesn't ding me for so much tax. I'll pm soon regarding details.

Thanks, Steve

Steve, you've got them. I've been selling quite a few of those pin sets lately.

Clinch, I very well may. What is your minimum thickness requirements?
